Memories – sweet and sour memories – ageless and unlimited memories.
They don’t see time and place, they just enter into your mind and heart anytime. If only for a second your attention wander, they just come into your world. They penetrate your inner soul and transport you to the time when that moment existed. You will remember the drizzle or rain associated with some beautiful moments in your life – your first love , the first cup of tea together with your sweetheart or your first valentine’s day gift. The fragrance of the earth when drops of rain fall on it and how you had snacks and tea with your friends on a cold foggy winter evenings are all part of journey called memories.
Memories are incredible essence of life. They are like animated photographs where nothing changes, if you were young few years ago or not long ago, you will see yourself in that place and age. The nostalgia and the emotions attract memories, the more emotional you are, more sensitive you will be to your memories. The people with practical view of life do have memories but they use it to improve themselves and not to stick to it for emotional reasons. Sometimes memories are better than reality. You never want some moments to pass or to change, you hold on to them even if those moments no longer exist. You might be happily married but a romantic song will remind you of your first innocent crush or your first teenage love, or you may be single and a sad song will take you to your love which never fructified.
Memories of your family are even sweeter, the fight with your siblings, your mother’s scream when you hurt yourself, your father pushing you for morning walks and that song on the radio where you tease your mom and dad for their romance. What a device is memory, takes you where you were sometime ago or long time ago and then in flashback you live all those sweet, scary, tragic and happy moments.
Cheers to such memories!!!
